Soccer in LV

For all the soccer fans, Las Vegas does have its own team- the Las Vegas Lights FC. The team has been playing in the USL Championship for the past two years. For visitors who come to Las Vegas and want to watch the Lights play, the home team plays at Cashman Field.

The great thing about Las Vegas Lights is that they make the atmosphere family-friendly and have lots of entertainment. The stadium is not far from the Strip and parking is only $5. Tickets are $20 or less.

To attract fans, the Las Vegas Lights have two llama mascots (Dotty and Dolly). The llamas always appear at tailgate parties, pre-game festivities, and when meeting the players. The Las Vegas lights play an entertaining game of attacking football. While not the best team in the league, they do provide lots of entertainment.

Their next home game is against Reno 1968 FC, their major rivals, on August 1. The game starts at 7.30 am. There are food stands both inside and outside the stadium. The Las Vegas Lights provide a very different type of entertainment than what is offered on the Strip.
